Hello, My name is Mr. Derek Gordon and this will be my 5th year teaching Math/Religion at The Campus of Saint Adalbert. I’m a native of Akron, Ohio. I graduated from Kent State University in 2000 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. In addition, I graduated from The University of Akron in 2006 with my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. I have been teaching students since 2006, when I subbed in many inner city school districts. I have also taught in cities like Charlotte, North Carolina and Akron(YMCA Phoenix) Ohio. I enjoy teaching and am looking forward to again teaching Math/Religion to your children at St. Adalbert. This year I would like to welcome grade 6 to my class. I will be teaching STREAM, where I will be challenging my students to not only think with their minds, but work with their hands and bring these topics of Math and Religion to life.
In addition to teaching, I am the Director of Remediation, where I will be helping students with their concerns. I will also be the Director of Aftercare for the 4th year and I am looking forward to spending time with your children helping them with their work or even just getting to know them after school this year. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me. I’m looking forward to having a successful upcoming school year.
