The above image is from 1929 of Pastor McKenney of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament (OLBS) Parish, located on East 79th Street by Quincy Avenue. In 1960, this Parish merged with Saint Adalbert Parish to form one church for this community. Saint Adalbert / OLBS Parish School is the oldest African-American Roman Catholic Parish in Ohio and the second-oldest in the country. Our school is based upon faith, tradition, history, and academics.
