Academics

Saint Adalbert Catholic School follows the curriculum set by the Office of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Cleveland and approved by the State of Ohio Department of Education. It is based on and exceeds all State of Ohio Academic Content Standards and standards of various professional education associations. All classes follow Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  In addition, special emphasis is placed on the infusion of our Catholic identity, the social justice teachings, and the rights of children into our curriculum. We are accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accreditation Association (OCSAA) and the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA).  We have been a member of National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for the last several years and are pursuing our Ohio Department of Education STEM certification.

Curriculum
The curriculum of all subjects St. Adalbert Catholic School follows the “Graded Course of Studies Curriculum Guides” set forth by the Office of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Cleveland. All textbooks and instructional materials are selectedto support the Graded Course of Studies, and Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Curriculum Handbooks are distributed at the start of the school year for all students in grades K-8. The booklets describe the major skills and concepts to be presented and developed and present an overview of the major learning objectives of each subject/grade level.
